TCDC Rates Submission Read It At Onemana.org.nz
TCDC called for residents to have their say on the proposed rate increase of 9.98 percent. ORCA has lodged its submission which you can read on the Onemana website – onemana.org.nz.
ORCA has made seven recommendations including a full review of the Council’s capital expenditure programme with only vital projects being undertaken during the coming year; Council focusses on a smooth and acceptable transition out of Covid19 for residents and business; Council puts in place appropriate processes for future rate increases; Council aligns Ward revenue and spending for Capital Expenditure projects.
ORCA has also advised Council that it will be making a submission to the 2021/2022 Annual Plan which will follow consultation with its members and Onemana residents.
Local Covid Update
Our rubbish collection is tomorrow (Monday). A reminder that all rubbish, recycling and glass go into your recycling wheelie bin. Only the wheelie bin will be collected due to the contamination risk. Your rubbish is the main priority, if your bin is full then hold back bottles and recycling.
Covid Assessment Free assessment testing if you think you have Covid19 is available daily at the Whangamata Memorial Hall between 9am and 3pm. Symptoms are a cough, temperature at least 38C, shortness of breath, sore throat, sneezing or runny nose, temporary loss of smell.
